Facebook is great to catch up with friends and family, but sometimes its just scary and intrusive. Facebook App uses location data collected by your Android phone to see which of your friends are nearby. Have you ever been out and about and then you get an alert (notification) on your phone saying one of your friends are nearby? Well, this is a feature of Facebook and for some it may seem great but for others its just down-right scary. Apart from Facebook collecting your location data, it might be risky for persons on your friends’ list knowing where you are. Some of us, like myself, have a lot of “friends” on Facebook that are not actually friends and sharing that information will definitely put your life and/or family’s life at risk.
